Services

COPPER is still in the formation phase.  However, we are researching offering the services listed below at this time.  Our goal is to start providing services in first quarter 2021.

COPPER aims to leverage its membership to make large purchases which are based on the needs of those choosing to participate in that purchase.  Since multiple agencies are purchasing off the same contract, COPPER can handle all procurement for the product ensuring that statutory procurement guidelines are followed.  This saves dozens to hundreds of hours of work for each member that would normally have to navigate procurement on their own.  Moreover, because libraries are purchasing together, the product is cheaper and may include more features.

Looking into different service areas can be overwhelming given members' varying levels of expertise, number of personnel available, and administrative challenges.  COPPER can look into whether or not a service is feasible and what steps need to be taken to help ensure success. 

Statewide Intra-library Loan Service

COPPER, with funding from an Arizona State Library, Archives, and Public Records LSTA grant, is evaluating the implementation of a statewide ILL service.  More information is below:
